Sustained Hope, recognizes and respects the fact that our clients prefer to stay and recover at the comforts of their own home, as opposed to being transferred to a managed facility. However, we also understand that being homebound for extended periods of time can feel isolated and lonely. Being homebound without any proper supervision as one is recovering from a hospital stay, an illness, or for seniors who might require assistance, can be very dangerous.
In order to address the dangers of living alone, and to counteract feelings of isolation and loneliness, Sustained Hope offers Companionship (Sitter Services) for our clients. With this service, our sitters will make sure to provide:
- Accompaniment for walks outside
- A listening and sympathetic ear
- Assistance with simple daily exercises
- Company when watching TV/movies
- Lively conversation
- Reading with/to clients
- Approved transportation (doctor’s office visits and recreational)
When needed, our companion sitters may also do some cleaning, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
Sustained Hope provides you with peace of mind by verifying that our companion sitters are state-certified, and that they are properly trained and orientated to perform non-medical tasks, as requested by the client.
